Choosing a WordPress theme

Free themes at the WordPress.org site

WordPress comes preloaded with the 2011 theme, but you may want to try out some of the more than 1400 free themes available at WordPress.org.

To view a few of the themes available, click on our “Free Themes” button on the NavBar, (along the top of this website)

Note: WordPress.org Themes are typically free of malware, spyware, etc.; However some 3rd party “freebies” have embedded viruses, malware, spyware. Buyer Beware!

Problems encountered when changing themes

Changing your website’s theme once the site has been built and all of the plugins added , may require a lot of forethought! You can swap out themes and add/remove functionality (via plugins) at anytime, but this is not always a no-brainer.

Dashboard > Appearance >  Manage Themes (tab) > Available Themes > Activate
